This month, we will be doing a Glamourr Amour's Tip #2 on how to take care of your skin! Check out the 5 Tips below on how get a healthy and flawless skin!


#1 Love your veggies

Eat loads of vegetables and fruits to keep your skin hydrated! Eat at least one type of fruit a day! Have you heard of the saying that goes, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" ? Well, an apple a day also keeps your skin healthy! Vegetables and fruits not only replenishes you with all the vitamins that you need, but it also hydrates your skin and keep them moist. Hydration and moisture is the two most important thing that makes your skin feel smooth and fresh.

#2 Wash, Tone and Moisturize

The 3 most important steps : Wash, Tone and Moisturize! Always wash your face twice a day, use a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type! Use luke warm water to wash your face, this is because warm water can help to open up your pores on your face. Next, tone your face with a suitable toner. For example, use either an alcohol based toner or a non-alcohol toner, according to which is most suitable for your skin type. Toning helps to exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells on your face. And lastly, always remember to use a moisturizer to moisturize your face! And again, remember to stick to a moisturizer which is most suitable for your skin type. In the morning, you can opt for a moisturizer with SPF, to protect your skin from the rays of UVA and UVB present in the sunlight. At night, you can use a normal moisturizer without SPF. If you are sleeping in an air-conditioned room at night, you should use a cream type of moisturizer to keep your skin moist. This is because the air-conditioned room tend to be very dry and may cause your skin to become likewise dry!

#3 Drink lots of H20


Make sure you drink lots of water throughout the day! Did you know that an average person needs about 2 liter of water or 7 glasses of water a day? Drinking water not only helps to hydrate your body, but it also helps to flush out all the unwanted toxic in our body. Water is a form of detox for our body, and with the toxic flushed out of our bodies, you will be able to have a healthy and acne-free face!

#4 Exercise

Exercising is important as it keeps our body healthy and fit. Did you know that exercising is also essential to get a healthy and flawless skin? This is because when we exercise, we get rid of the unwanted toxic in our body. When our body is detoxed, we would not face any acne or skin problem. Take a 30 minute jog around the park a day! You'll get to enjoy the nature while exercising after a long stressed out day. Or you could do a 30 minutes yoga once a day. Yoga is good for circulating the blood in our body, and is also another form of detox for our body. Meditation also helps to make your mind calm, and when your mind is calm, your skin will also be calm! " Healthy mind, healthy skin"! Meditating for about 30 minutes a day is also good to relax your mind and give yourself a break after a long day at work or at school.

#5 Scrub and Facial Mask 


Scrub your face once a week, to exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells on your face! This helps to clear up your pores and prevents the pores from clogging up your face. Pamper your face by giving it a facial mask once in a while! Sit back and relax, and let the facial mask do the work! After about 15-20 minutes, gently pat on your face, to let the moisture from the facial mask seep in to your skin!
